Down on the farm: Yoshinobu Yamamoto tosses two innings for OKC
He made his second start for OKC
A recap of Tuesday’s minor league action.
Oklahoma City Baseball Club
OKC began their series with a 4-2 loss to the Space Cowboys.
James Outman (CF) hit his 12th homer with OKC while Kody Hoese (3B) hit his 17th homer.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto made his second rehab start. Like his first outing, he went only two innings. Yamamoto made 53 pitches, which is the reason he was pulled early. 17 of those pitches came in ONE at bat. He allowed two runs on two hits and issued two walks. If you want a positive, he did strike out three and his velocity was where it was during the season. If I were to guess, he’ll need to make two more starts with OKC. Him only being built up for 50 pitches isn’t going to cut it for the starting rotation.
Brusdar Graterol made a rehab appearance, as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury. He allowed three hits in an inning. He could rejoin the Dodgers later this week, which is still crazy because I was convinced his season was over.
Tulsa Drillers
The Drillers kicked off their series with a 6-0 victory over the Missions.
Jose Ramos (CF) led the team with three hits. He drove in two runs with his 14th home run of the season.
Yeiner Fernandez (2B) drove in three runs with his third homer of the season.
Jerming Rosario (RHP) tossed five scoreless innings. He struck out five and allowed three hits.
Great Lakes Loons
No game
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
The Quakes began their final series of the season with a 2-0 victory over the Rawhide.
Cameron Decker (1B) hit his 10th homer of the season.
Zyhir Hope (LF) drove in the other run.
Eriq Swan (RHP) tossed four scoreless innings and allowed only one hit. He struck out five.
Joseilyn Gonzalez (RHP) tossed two scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
