Mookie is one of my favorite Dodgers, however, wouldn't it be better to move him down in the order for both himself and the team? He only had THREE games of minor league at bats after being out six weeks. If that was his decision, I think it all the more reason to bat him LOWER, (7,8 or 9). He clearly is not helping the team batting .170 - so bat him lower until he heats up.
Why not have Ohtani hit 3rd on days that he’s starting pitcher at home. Give the guy a chance to get ready and catch his breath. He can lead off the rest of the time.
What do you think the plan is for Lauer? Is he a band-aid to maintain a six-man rotation and give Yama and Shohei a week between starts? Would there be any scenario in which they keep him when Glas comes back? And what's PLAN B if they can't fix Lauer and he's not improved from his starts for the Blue Jays this season? p.s Who is Jonathan Hernandez, and where did he come from?
Kike is supposed to be back up for Monday's game. I think I saw that Doc said he'll be starting at 3B on Monday. That roster crunch is about to begin. They will need a 40 man spot for him and get him on the active roster. DFAing Espinal takes care of both. Is that what they do? I could see Muncy going to the IL (despite what everyone has said). But that would not clear a 40 man spot. Once everyone is back and healthy (crosses fingers), I think Espinal is gone and Kim goes back to AAA for Edman.
Why can't the Dodgers win with me in the building? And how big of a division lead do they need for it to be safe for me to catch a game later this season when I was thinking about Cincy, Chicago, and/or Detroit?
