The Dodgers finish up their 9-game roadtrip by going 5-4, including a 4-2 stretch to close the week. They head back to LA with only a 3-game lead in the division.
After a long roadtrip and a trade deadline, it's time we open up the mailbag! As always, feel free to ask any/all of your questions below!
At the Trade Deadline an Uber driver delivered 3 identical $399.95 lunches to three Trading Rooms in a hotel .
A Gentleman answered the 1st door, handed the Driver 4x$100 and a $20, then handed him a bag of MiLB swag with 22 autographed pieces of equipment.
Second door the gentleman answers gave him 3x$100, said to wait, his Twin came back to the door with 3x $50 and a mixed bag of MLB and MiLB autographed Swag. At the last second said, "Oh, wait, here is another piece," and gave the Driver it as well.
Third door the man answered, wrote a check for $299.97, told the Driver he could keep the change and started to close the door. The driver asked for ID. The man said he showed his ID during the Winter meetings. The Driver said the other had some autograph swag. Could the gentleman at least add a single piece or two of MiLB Swag to the tip? The man answered, "I gave away all the autographed swag I am going to give away this year at the Winter Meetings and no matter what, I am determined to stick to that and not give away any more at the Trade Deadline. I rather be firm than right," and slammed the door in the Driver's Face.
The fans are the Driver. They all gave a tip.
Which gentleman worked for the Padres? The Phillies? The Dodgers?
How often does another team sell the farm for prospects in order to sell the team? Rare is my guess. Which of the 3 men could not read the room would not under any condition or scenario add a prospect to get a better MLB quality player?
I can't think of any questions this week that have not been asked. I'll take this opportunity to let you know you do good work and it's appreciated. Keep it up!
