For some reason, the Dodgers decide to sign big-name starting pitchers when I go to the movies.
They signed Yoshinobu Yamamoto when I was seeing a move in December. Now in that situation, I knew there was a chance something could happen during the movie. There were a lot of reports that day saying Yamamoto’s decision will be coming soon. So, that’s my fault.
Last night, however, was a total shock.
I went to see Wicked with my girlfriend, expecting to have every song stuck in my head. Safe to say, mission accomplished. Now, considering we’re still in November, I wasn’t expecting anything major involving the Dodgers to go down. Why would I?
After pulling myself back together from the conclusion of ‘Defying Gravity’, I checked my phone for the first time in three hours. There were about 20 missed texts, 100+ missed Twitter notifications and more. What the hell did I miss?
Well, apparently I missed the Dodgers pulling off the biggest move of free agency so far.
