For the last four years, I’ve covered the Dodgers for TrueBlue LA of SBNation. I’ve spent nearly every day on the Dodgers beat, providing the best possible coverage I could. It was my full-time job and I loved every second of it.
Unfortunately, I learned unexpectedly in March that I was being laid off from my dream job. In addition to losing my full-time job, this also meant I’d no longer be involved in daily Dodgers coverage, something I’ve grown accustomed to and have loved during the last four years.
How could I continue to stay on Dodgers coverage and provide all of you with the best in-depth pieces and tweets you’ve all come to love? Well, I found it here.

I have a number of extra Dodgers bobbleheads sitting around. Once we reach 250 subscribers, I’ll give out a bobblehead to a random subscriber once a month.

Earlier I mentioned that we’ll have a Twitter groupchat and Zoom calls where we can all interact, but how about doing that at Dodger Stadium? If we reach 500 subscribers, we’ll plan a game where we can all go and hang out at a Dodgers game. We can just all hang out in the outfield plaza and pound some drinks and hang out there, or we can fill up a section. Either way, we can figure it out. If it’s a success, we can for sure do more than one.

In addition to all the other Zoom calls going on, every month I’ll have a private 1-on-1 30 minute Zoom call with a random subscriber. You can personally ask me any questions you have, or we can just just shoot the breeze and chat for 30 minutes. I’d like to try and know every subscriber as best as possible, and this allows me to do that.
1,000 subscribers (Go to a Dodgers game with me)
First off, if we’re able to reach 1,000 subscribers that would be truly insane. If that happens, you guys are seriously the best. So, if we reach 1,000 subscribers, I want to give back in the best way I can. You and me will go to a Dodgers game. And get this, I’ll even pay for your ticket.
I’m not quite sure how many of these games could happen (we gotta get to 1,000 subscribers first) but I would like to try and do this at least once a month.

I know, I know. Time for the million dollar question. How much will a subscription cost?

So for five bucks a month, you’ll get access to all my articles plus the weekly/monthly behind-the-scenes access AND the chance to score a bobblehead or free ticket. You likely spend $5 on a coffee or a double-bacon cheeseburger at least once a month, so consider this a much healthier alternative!
Believe me, I know paying a monthly fee to read articles is not something a lot of people are fans of. I truly get it.
But for only five dollars, not only are you getting some pretty awesome content and access, you’re helping me do this full-time. No, seriously, your $5 will help me do this on a day-to-day basis. It will allow me to continue to post all of the Twitter content you’ve likely come to love. Your monthly subscription will make a difference and allow me to do this for as long as possible.
