A recap of Thursday’s minor league action.
Oklahoma City Comets
The Comets fell to the Isotopes, 9-8.
James Outman (CF) had a two-hit day and hit his 13th homer of the season.
Alex Freeland (SS) reached base four times and scored three runs. He hit his eighth homer of the year and his 20th double of the season.
Hunter Feduccia (C) drove in a team-high three runs.
Emmet Sheehan (RHP) made another rehab start. He allowed four runs in 3.1 innings, but the results aren’t too concerning. What stood out were his seven strikeouts, 15 swing-and-misses and zero walks. His stuff looked electric and it looks like he’s ready. We’ll see if the Dodgers opt to give him another rehab start or if they want him to join the rotation next week.
Edgardo Henriquez (RHP) tossed a scoreless inning with a strikeout.
Tulsa Drillers
The Drillers lost to the Cardinals, 4-3.
Ezequiel Pagan (LF) provided most of the offense. He recorded two of the team’s four hits and drove in two runs.
Patrick Copen (RHP) had another solid outing with Tulsa. In five innings, he allowed two runs and struck out six.
Great Lakes Loons
It was a rough day for the Loons, as they fell to the Timber Rattlers, 9-2.
Zyhir Hope (RF) drove in two runs with his 15th double of the season.
Josue De Paula (LF) reached base twice.
Luke Fox (LHP) allowed four runs in six innings. He had six strikeouts.
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
The Quakes won their second straight game, defeating the 66ers, 5-0.
Eduardo Quintero (CF) reached base three times.
Mairoshendrick Martinus (3B) drove in three runs with his eighth double of the season.
Christian Zazueta (RHP) had another great start. He tossed five scoreless innings, striking out six.
Arizona Complex League Dodgers
The Dodgers offense had themselves a day, as they defeated the Rangers, 21-10.
Chase Harlan (3B) had three hits, drew a walk and drove in two runs. The 18-year-old was LA’s 3rd round pick in 2024.
Brendan Tunink (CF) reached base five times, raising his OPS to .993. The 19-year-old was LA’s 8th round pick in 2024.
Cameron Decker (LF) hit his first homer of the season and was tied for the team lead with four RBI.
Ching-Hsien Ko (DH) had a quiet day compared to everyone else, as he only reached base twice. However, his numbers have been insane this season. In 29 games in the ACL, he’s hitting .406 with a 1.112 OPS.
