Recapping Tuesday’s minor league action.
Oklahoma City Comets
OKC dropped the series opener, losing to the Rainiers, 5-2.
Hunter Feduccia had a three-hit day. He’s now hitting .400 on the season with a 1.220 OPS.
Kody Hoese (3B) also recorded three hits. He drove in both of OKC’s runs.
Dalton Rushing returned after missing nearly a week. He had two hits and reached with a walk.
Tony Gonsolin made his third rehab start. He went four innings and threw 66 pitches, both highs for him this year. It was a bit of a rough outing, as he allowed three runs on six hits. He did strike out five, giving him 13 strikeouts in his nine innings so far. I think 66 pitches is more than enough for him to return to the rotation next week.
Evan Phillips allowed two runs in his rehab outing. It looks like once Phillips is able to pitch back-to-back games he’ll return to the Dodgers.
Tulsa Drillers
Tulsa snapped their losing streak with a 3-0 victory over the Wind Surge.
John Rhodes (1B) continues to provide all the offense for the Drillers. He recorded two hits, walked and drove in two runs.
After a rough 2025 debut, Peter Heubeck (RHP) had one of the best starts of his minor league career. He allowed only one hit in four scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.
Great Lakes Loons
The Loons fell to the Dragons, 10-2.
Zyhir Hope (CF) had a two-hit day and drove in a run. He’s hitting .400 this season with a 1.178 OPS. He had two hits and his OPS actually DROPPED!
Logan Wagner (3B) reached base three times. He’s quietly having a really strong start to the season, as he owns a .933 OPS.
Luke Fox (LHP) allowed five runs on only two hits in 3.2 innings. He wasn’t allowing hits, instead he was handing out free passes as he issued five walks.
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
The Quakes kicked off their series with a 4-3 victory over the Giants.
Samuel Munoz (LF) led the way for the offense as he was the team-leader in hits (3) and RBI (2).
Mike Sirota (CF) had a two-hit day and drove in a run.
Kellon Lindsey (SS) reached base three times and scored a run.
Samuel Sanchez (RHP) allowed one run in 4.2 innings. He struck out six.
Heubeck did have a great outing but was ejected after the 4th for suspicion of a sticky substance. What happens next? Any thoughts?
