We got some pretty amazing news, as Walker Buehler will make his long awaited return from the IL and start for the Dodgers on Monday night!
When Buehler takes the mound at Dodger Stadium in a few days, it’ll be his first start on that mound since June 4, 2022. It’ll be his first major league start since June 10 of that same year. The last time we saw Buehler in a major league game was in San Francisco. He went four innings but was pulled early.
Buehler underwent a second Tommy John surgery and flexor tendon repair that summer. He missed the rest of the 2022 campaign and all of 2023. There was slight hope he’d make it back by the end of 2023, but the Dodgers opted to shut him down and save him for 2024.
