How the Dodgers can form the greatest team ever assembled for three years
My master plan for a three-year run of dominance

Yesterday I wrote about four different trade packages the Dodgers could put together in order to land Juan Soto from the Nationals.
Last night, I watched Soto put on a show at Dodger Stadium, winning the Home Run Derby in dramatic fashion. I was already on board with him becoming a Dodger, but watching him effortlessly spray homers all across the field really made me dream about what he could do in Dodger blue.
All the talk has been about Soto signing a record-breaking contract extension. Whether it is with the Nationals or another team, it’s going to likely be the biggest we’ve seen in baseball history.
Soto is deserving of it. As I mentioned in my article yesterday, he’s essentially Ted Williams 2.0 and only 23 years old. There’s a strong chance we haven’t even seen him at his best yet.
The Dodgers can afford him. We saw them recently commit over $350 million to Mookie Betts. Whatever Soto wants, the Dodgers can likely offer.
But what if…. just what if… the Dodgers acquired him…. without giving him a record-breaking contract? At least, for right now.
You probably think I’m crazy, which is likely true.
I’ve put together this master plan for the Dodgers that would give them one of the greatest lineups we’ve ever seen assembled for three seasons. If the Dodgers somehow were to pull this off, I just don’t see how any team could beat them any time soon.
What is this master plan I’ve cooked up? Let’s get to the fun.
