How long do the Dodgers keep CT3 in the lineup ? Ever since Pages has been playing on a regular basis we’ve been playing better. I can’t see them sending Pages down, when Hayward returns.

What are your thoughts with all the arm injuries, not just the elbow but now lots of shoulder injuries. Seeing Sheehan, then Graterol and now Hurt head to the 60 day says there must be something seriously wrong but we haven’t heard anything. When is Miller expected back?

My rant against the Dodgers Analyst.

I used to teach Statistics at the college level. After the last few years of watching Roberts work with the statistics in Bull Pen, Lineups, and Pinch Hit, I have pictured this faceless, nameless analyst as a 2nd grader sitting at his small desk making charts with finger paints and eating paste.

Outman starting breaking out against the Brewers with a couple home runs even. Then, for reasons the analyst's charts must have said to start platooning him mainly with CT3.

In 2023 Outman was definitely better than CT3 or Kiki. 2023 against left-handed pitchers.

Outman . 254 BA in 154 PAs

Kiki .239 BA in 161 PAs.

Muncy .155 BA 171 PAs

CT3 .210 BA in 138 PAs.

We know from last year you ride Outman through. When he catches, like against the Brewers, you stay with him.

Any idea on why the change? Other than to attempt to justify the costly CT3 by giving him some opportunities to carry his weight (aka- make more outs)?

Any idea why they take James out late in a game when a lefty comes in, but leave CT3 in late when a righty comes in?

Do you think James will get a chance to hit against lefties again, like last year when he was one of the best Dodgers LH bats against lefties (I think #2 after Freddie)?

A repeat of my comment on the last "Down on the Farm" column - this was probably the proper place for it all along.

Trey Sweeney's been way over-performing his career hitting numbers since he came over to the Dodgers system this year. Is this just a hot start or the infamous PCL hitter's buff? Or do we know if the Dodgers have done something to his swing or approach that's causing this improvement - if so and he now has MLB-quality bat-to-ball skills, that would be amazing...he's only 24, and a pretty slick up-the middle defender (even if he's not likely to stick at SS long term)
