I'm glad the SD series is in LA; I'm confident the Dodgers can win at least one of those games, and overall I'm confident the Dodgers can win 3 of the next 6. I would RATHER it be the first two against SD and therefore no more to worry about. :-)
Sweep the Padres and they go to Arizona 6 back, which is where the Diamondbacks are now. Take 2 and depending, both them and the Diamondbacks could be 4 out and tied.
Let the Padres/Diamondbacks battle for home field in the first playoff round. Use up their pitching.
Winning 2 of 3 at home would show that they’re ready for the playoffs.
