Bring Pages up and then put him in the lineup surrounded by Kiki, Taylor, and Barnes. Are you kidding me? Outman was 1-2 pinch-hitting for 0-2 Kiki last night.
What kindergarten is making these analytic charts anyway? Are they using finger paints? Eating paste?
I feel like we need Pages, Lipcius, and Ward up in the league and send some of these shitty hitters back down. Lux is turning the corner, but Taylor is horrendous and I’d still like to see another backup catcher come up and send Barnes down to learn how to see the baseball and hit.
I wish we could, but Taylor and Barnes are both out of options. Between Lux and Vargas's failure to launch, and Busch's thriving over in Chicago, I'm starting to worry that something may be wrong in how the Dodgers are evaluating/treating young hitters.
The Busch trade was so badly done! He was a gem and given daily opportunities he would have proved it with the Dodgers, but they never gave him the consistent playing time where Chicago is.
Eh, Zyhir Hope appears to be thriving so far down at Rancho Cucamonga, and has an actual defensive position unlike Busch, so I think we got value in the trade. Who knows what Jackson Ferris is - TINSTAAPP and all that - but I know the Dodgers are good at developing pitchers. I just hope that if/when Zyhir is ready for the show, he doesn't go weird like Vargas and Lux seemingly have.
